Introducing Squirrel for Windows

A long time ago, I said to myself, “I should write my own installer and update framework for Desktop Windows apps, because everything else out there is abysmally bad.” After 2 years, 6 months, and 29 days of regret, here it is, the feature-complete Beta of Squirrel for Windows:

With this release, Squirrel for Windows is now generally ready for beta testing. Squirrel can be used for any Windows Desktop application, whether it’s based on .NET / C#, C++, or any other language.

How can I get started?

The user documentation folder on the GitHub repo is the best place to read how to get started using Squirrel. Specifically, the Getting Started doc shows how to create your first installer.
